INTRODUCTION

The event that that marked the 20th anniversary of Febratex was not only the largest in number of exhibitors and its area, but also in business numbers.

In the four-day event, held from the 10th to the 13th of August 2010, about 88,000 visitors circulated through the stands, learning about the innovation and new product launches in the textile world.

In addition, during the event, we collected over 4.5 tons of nonperishable food donated by visitors, which were then donated to Ablucan - Blumenauense Association for Fighting Cancer, APAE Blumenau and Neoplasia Child Support Home.

Side events were also a big hit with the realization of a Technology Workshop, organized in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Textile Technicians and Brasil Fashion Designers, which brought together the creations of fashion and design students from the region.

The next edition is already scheduled: the 14th to the 17th of August 2012.

Brazil Fashion Designers is a cultural contest that aims to discover, encourage and promote the creation of fashion in the areas it is divulged. The first events, which occurred in 2010 in Goiás and Santa Catarina, were state events. In 2011, the competition grew and became regional.
